Question:
I have been using Dynamic folders on my Snow Leopard computers without too many issues, but I have issues with it running properly with Lion. We remove files and replace them with new files, and even though it is set up to check every 10 minutes, after 2 days, it still doesn't update the slideshow.
Answer:
Before we speculate that the problem is with dropbox you should check to see what happens when you add new content to the dropbox folder without MSP running? Does the content synch between the two systems? If not, the issue could be related to dropbox and your network. Unfortunately there isn't a way that we know of to force a synch in dropbox without making a couple of changes to the dropbox preferences. If the issue is with in your network setup this goes beyond the scope of our support.
Here are a couple of things for you to try to force synch when new content is added to your dropbox folder.
1. When you add new content to the dropbox folder you should see the dropbox icon in the upper tool bar indicate that dropbox is synching.
2. Make sure that the content that you are uploading to dropbox is located within a folder within dropbox. It's not recommended that the content is stored at the root of the folder/drive.
3. After adding content check the target system for the updated content. If the content is not updated try opening up the dropbox preferences and selecting the advance tab. Under the advance tab you should see an option called "Selective Synch". Select this option and then toggle the check box next to the folder from on to off. Once toggled select "update". Once the update is complete make sure to turn the box is checked and then select "update" again. This should force a synch between the two systems.
4. Enable LAN sync
LAN sync is a networking feature that allows you to save time and bandwidth by downloading files directly from other computers on your local network. Deselecting this option will force Dropbox to sync from Dropbox servers every time it detects a change in your Dropbox folder.
This setting can be located under the "general tab" in your preferences. If your systems are on the same network it's recommended that this settings is turned on. In some some cases to force synch it might be necessary to turn this "off".

Hopes this helps.
Thanks,

I am also experiencing this issue. I am not using Dropbox or MobileMe. Instead, I have been using Apple Remote Desktop. The file copies to the dynamic folder completely, but MSP isn't appearing to check the folder for updates.
I am also using Lion.
If you stop and restart your project does MSP pick up and display the new files in the dynamic folder?
